PHOTO EXCURSIONS
“Discovering the ancient tribe of Sanniti” is a photographic workshop focused on archaeology and architecture photography with a darkroom experience; a full immersion through a whole weekend side by side with a professional photographer, structured through a one day trip visiting the archaeological sites of Pietrabbondante, with its worship and institutional complex consisting of a theatre, a temple and two arcaded buildings on both sides, from late 2nd century BC, Vastogirardi, with its samnite sanctuary and Saepinum, an old samnite city where ancient ruins are still visible, integrated to the modern town houses walls.
This short trip across the Alto Sannio area (between Abruzzi and Molise regions of Central Italy), will let the participants develop topics related to architecture, archaeology and landscape photography, and will be followed by a darkroom session to explore film processing and B&W printing with analog and mixed analog/digital techniques.
